Why It Matters

Ronrocapp is more than a learning app — it’s a bridge between tradition and innovation. By blending music, culture, and technology, the platform aims to preserve Andean musical heritage while opening new doors for learners worldwide.

Project Overview

Ronrocapp is a multimedia educational project dedicated to the diffusion and preservation of the ronroco, a traditional string instrument from the Andean region. The platform also introduces related instruments such as the charango and maulincho, offering users a broader understanding of the instrument family and their cultural roots.
This initiative blends instructional design, visual storytelling, and educational technology to offer an engaging and culturally respectful learning experience.


Objectives

  • Promote awareness and appreciation of the ronroco and related Andean instruments.

  • Provide structured, interactive learning experiences for musicians and cultural enthusiasts.

  • Include practical tools and features for skill development.

  • Combine culture, design, and technology in a meaningful educational environment.

  • Interactive lessons on the history, structure, and playing techniques of the ronroco, maulincho, and charango.

  • A built-in digital tuner to help users tune their instruments.

  • Step-by-step chord positions, strumming patterns, and performance techniques to support skill development.

My Contribution

Instructional Design

  • Defined learning goals and user personas.

  • Structured progressive learning paths for instrument technique and cultural context.

  • Applied ADDIE and Backward Design models for content planning.

  • Mapped lessons to support both beginner and intermediate learners.

Visual Design

  • Designed the visual identity and UX flow of the app.

  • Created wireframes and interactive demos using InVision.

  • Developed custom visual assets using Illustrator and Photoshop.

  • Built and tested UI components using Framer X.

  • Contributed to the overall design system and UI guidelines.
